Visitors Policy

Welcome to Medicity General Hospital. We value the well-being of our patients, their families, and our staff, and we aim to maintain a supportive environment through a comprehensive visitor policy. Please take a moment to review the guidelines to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for everyone.

1. Visiting Hours

• Visiting Hours: Monday to Sunday, 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Quiet Hours: Daily, 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Visitors are encouraged to limit noise and activities during these hours to ensure restful environments for patients.

2. Visitor Limitations

• Inpatient Rooms: 2 visitors per patient.
• Pediatrics: Parents/guardians can stay 24/7; 2 visitors allowed during visiting hours.
• Maternity: Partner allowed 24/7; 2 additional visitors during visiting hours.
• Emergency Department: 1 visitor, depending on the patient’s condition.

3. Age Restrictions

• Visitors under 12 are not permitted, except in special cases.

4. Security and Check-In Procedures

• All visitors must check in at the front desk and provide identification before entering patient care areas. Visitor badges must be worn at all times.
• Visitors may be subject to security screening to ensure hospital safety.

5. Visitor Conduct

• Visitors are expected to maintain respectful conduct at all times. Disruptive behaviour, including loud conversations, excessive use of cell phones, or inappropriate behaviour behaviour, may result in removal from the premises.
• No smoking or alcohol is permitted on hospital grounds.

6. Exceptions to the Policy

• Certain patient care situations may require adjustments to the visitor policy. Hospital administration and the medical team will handle these exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
